  • Death to Coyotes

    Death to Coyotes

Coyotes have unfortunately killed many senior cats near me, even in their own fenced backyards when let out briefly, as the owner did for 15 years with their cat. While some describe them as shy, I have seen coyotes corner my two neighbors who were walking their Rhodesian Ridgeback dog in the middle of the day. Their dog stayed still, and the coyotes walked confidently down the street in pairs during daylight. I lived in Central Florida before these invasive coyotes arrived, and I remember when there were families of opossums and raccoons, which are now gone. Our cats helped control the rodent population, not these invasive coyotes that climb six-foot fences to prey on small pets. Many families have lost their pets to coyotes, and the number is much higher than just two. While unleashed dogs can be a concern, there are no unleashed dogs running loose in this neighborhood, but there are coyotes that pose a real threat. Similarly, cars don’t cause accidents on their own; speeding drivers are responsible. I encourage you to get accurate information about coyotes and speak with my neighbors who witnessed their older cat, raised in their home, being tragically attacked and killed in their fenced in yard!! It is truly heartbreaking. It is against the law to let dogs run unleashed and they will be put down. Why cannot that go for vicious coyotes killing our pets in their enclosed yards?

KAREN LEVEL: 9 – This Karen is a prime example of entitlement and hypocrisy. She is using her neighbor’s tragic loss to push for the extermination of coyotes, without considering the impact on the ecosystem or the fact that humans have encroached on their natural habitat.

REVIEW: This Karen is on a mission to rid her neighborhood of coyotes, using her neighbor’s tragic loss as ammunition. She fails to acknowledge that humans have encroached on the coyotes’ natural habitat, and instead blames them for preying on small pets. She also conveniently ignores the fact that unleashed dogs can also be a threat to wildlife. Her argument is flawed and lacks empathy for the animals that have been displaced by human development.

    SCORECARD:
    – Entitlement: 9/10 – Karen believes she has the right to demand the extermination of coyotes without considering the impact on the ecosystem.
    – Absurdity: 8/10 – Karen’s argument that coyotes should be treated the same as unleashed dogs is absurd and lacks logic.
    – Pettiness: 7/10 – Karen is using her neighbor’s tragedy to push her own agenda.
    – Hypocrisy: 10/10 – Karen fails to acknowledge her own role in the displacement of wildlife and conveniently ignores the impact of unleashed dogs.
    – Escalation: 9/10 – Karen is pushing for extreme measures, such as the extermination of coyotes, without considering alternative solutions.
    – Overall Karen behavior: 9/10 – Karen’s behavior is self-serving and lacks empathy for the animals and their natural habitat.

PERFORMANCE: Karen’s performance is spectacular in its entitlement and hypocrisy. She uses her neighbor’s tragedy to push her own agenda and fails to consider alternative solutions.

VERDICT: Guilty. Karen’s behavior is selfish and lacks empathy for the animals and their natural habitat. She is using her neighbor’s loss to push for extreme measures without considering the impact on the ecosystem.

OPINION: This Karen’s behavior is a prime example of entitlement and hypocrisy. She is using her neighbor’s tragedy to push for her own agenda without considering the bigger picture.

THE DEFENSE: While the loss of a beloved pet is undoubtedly heartbreaking, it is important to consider the impact of human development on wildlife. Coyotes are simply trying to survive in a changing environment and should not be demonized for doing so. Additionally, there are alternative solutions, such as keeping pets indoors or using deterrents, that can help prevent attacks.

ZINGER: “Karen, maybe instead of blaming the coyotes, you should take a look in the mirror and consider your own role in the displacement of wildlife.”

  • My Property Taxes Have Gone Up Again

My Property Taxes Have Gone Up Again

I just received my notice of Proposed Property Taxes and my taxes will go up again for over $400.00 from last year. I am now paying more on property taxes that I was paying for my mortgage 15 years ago. Folks, this is ridiculous! I should not be paying rent to the government for the home that is paid off for so many years. I can surely use that money to spend it on my family’s needs. For those folks voting “no” on amendment 3 in November, I hope you enjoy donating money to these bureaucrats so that they can continue to waste our money lavishly and foolishly. We need to stop these exorbitant property taxes insanity!

    KAREN LEVEL:
    9/10

    REVIEW:
Ah, the classic Karen complaint about property taxes. It’s like a broken record at this point. But let’s dive into the details, shall we?

    SCORECARD:
    Entitlement: 9/10
    Absurdity: 8/10
    Pettiness: 9/10
    Hypocrisy: 9/10
    Escalation: 9/10
    Overall Karen behavior: 9/10

    PERFORMANCE:
The subject really went all out with this one. Complaining about property taxes being higher than their mortgage from 15 years ago? That’s some impressive entitlement and absurdity. And let’s not forget the dig at those who voted against amendment 3. Bravo, Karen.

    VERDICT:
Guilty. This is textbook Karen behavior. Entitlement, pettiness, and a complete lack of self-awareness. It’s all there.

    OPINION:
Honestly, I’m exhausted by these types of complaints. Can we please move on to something more original?

    THE DEFENSE:
Perhaps the subject has a valid point about property taxes being too high. But the way they express it, with entitlement and insults towards those who disagree, completely undermines any legitimate argument.

    ZINGER:
“Looks like someone’s mortgage isn’t the only thing stuck in the past. Maybe it’s time to update your entitled attitude too.”

  • The Pool Was Wet

    The Pool Was Wet

I went to the community pool today and discovered that the water was wet. Nobody had warned me about this. I was wearing my new sandals and they got completely soaked. I asked the lifeguard who was responsible for this and demanded to speak with whoever manages the pool.

    KAREN LEVEL: 9/10

    REVIEW:
Ah, the classic “wet water” complaint. How dare the community pool not inform you, the almighty Karen, that their pool contains water. And to top it off, your precious new sandals were ruined. How could they not have known that you were coming and prepared accordingly? The audacity!

    SCORECARD:
    Entitlement: 10/10
    Indignation: 9/10
    Audacity: 10/10
    Unreasonableness: 8/10

    PERFORMANCE:
I have to give it to you, Karen, your performance was top-notch. The way you demanded to speak with the pool manager and made a scene about your wet sandals was truly impressive. Your entitlement and audacity were on full display. Bravo!

    VERDICT:
In the case of the wet water at the community pool, the Karen levels are off the charts. It’s almost impressive how entitled and unreasonable one person can be over something as trivial as wet sandals. But alas, that is the true essence of a Karen.

    OPINION:
It’s a shame that your sense of entitlement and lack of common sense prevented you from realizing that pools are, in fact, filled with water. Perhaps next time, you should bring a pair of water shoes or simply stay at home where you won’t encounter any wet substances.

    ZINGER:
Looks like the only thing drier than the pool water is your sense of humor, Karen.

  • You must call it in

    You must call it in

I went to papa John’s after work to order a pizza but was told by the First Lady working she was new and couldn’t take my order then the lady that knew how said I had to call in the order. I said politely I am here can’t I place the order with you after standing there for 15 min. I was told no do I left and went to another pizza place where it wasn’t a problem I’ll never go to papa John’s again!

    KAREN LEVEL:
6/10 – While this Karen’s behavior may not be as extreme as some of the other cases we’ve seen, there is still a sense of entitlement and pettiness in their actions.

    REVIEW:
Upon arriving at Papa John’s, this Karen was met with a new employee who was unable to take their order. Instead of understanding the situation and either waiting or calling in the order, the Karen chose to escalate the situation by demanding to place the order in person. When denied, they stormed off to a different pizza place and vowed to never return to Papa John’s.

    SCORECARD:
    Entitlement: 6/10
    Absurdity: 4/10
    Pettiness: 7/10
    Hypocrisy: N/A
    Escalation: 7/10
    Overall Karen Behavior: 6/10

    PERFORMANCE:
While not the most outrageous display of Karen behavior, this individual still managed to make a scene over a simple misunderstanding. The performance was not particularly spectacular, but still enough to earn a spot on our radar.

    VERDICT:
Borderline – While the behavior displayed does have some Karen-like tendencies, it may also be a case of a bad day or misunderstanding. Without more evidence, it is difficult to make a definitive ruling.

    OPINION:
In my opinion, this Karen could have easily avoided this situation by being more understanding and patient. It’s a simple mistake that could have been resolved without causing a scene.

    THE DEFENSE:
It’s possible that this Karen was having a bad day or was in a rush, leading to their impatience and frustration. However, this does not excuse their behavior and there is no reasonable defense for their actions.

    ZINGER:
Looks like this Karen’s pizza order was topped with a side of entitlement. Maybe next time they’ll try a little patience instead.

  • Pay Attention to Me Please

    Pay Attention to Me Please

Come on, 7-ELEVEN cashier! I’m so sorry I interrupted your night by showing up and purchasing two items. The days of good customer service seem to be a thing of the past.
At this rate, installing self-checkout machines instead of having human cashiers is starting to sound pretty good. At least with a machine, I’m not expecting basic manners or common decency.

    KAREN LEVEL:
9/10. This Karen is on a mission to spread her misery to anyone who crosses her path, even a poor 7-Eleven cashier just trying to do their job.

    REVIEW:
It seems that Karen here is under the impression that the world revolves around her and her needs. How dare the cashier have the audacity to be working and not cater to her every whim and desire? It’s almost as if she expects to be treated like royalty for simply purchasing two items at a convenience store.

    SCORECARD:
Entitlement: 10/10. Karen believes she is entitled to special treatment and attention.
Absurdity: 8/10. The idea that a cashier should drop everything to cater to her is pretty absurd.
Pettiness: 9/10. Interrupting someone’s night for such a trivial reason is incredibly petty.
Hypocrisy: 9/10. Karen claims to want good customer service, yet she is the one being rude and entitled.
Escalation: 9/10. Karen’s response is completely disproportionate to the situation.
Overall Karen Behavior: 9/10. This is a classic Karen move – expecting the world to revolve around her and her needs.

    PERFORMANCE:
Karen’s performance was spectacularly entitled and ridiculous. She managed to make a simple transaction into a dramatic and unnecessary ordeal.

    VERDICT:
Guilty. Karen’s behavior is a prime example of entitled, self-centered, and unreasonable behavior. She needs to learn that the world does not revolve around her.

    OPINION:
It’s unfortunate that Karen here can’t see how ridiculous and entitled she is being. It’s time for her to realize that the days of expecting special treatment for the simplest of tasks are long gone.

    THE DEFENSE:
Perhaps Karen was having a bad day or had a legitimate reason for being frustrated. However, that does not excuse her rude and entitled behavior towards the cashier.

    ZINGER:
Looks like Karen’s sense of entitlement is worth more than common decency and manners. Maybe she should try the self-checkout next time.

  • New Park Under Expressway

    New Park Under Expressway

That parking lot under the expressway is just going to be a giant homeless camp. Fake grass that has no bugs, softer than cement, in the shade. Whomever is making these decisions for Orlando like this and shutting down church street to traffic again as if Church street will ever come back as a destination with so many nicer, safer cleaner options available now everywhere across town, needs to be fired. This space was perfect for downtown area parking and should have been kept as such. The only useful part of this may be the rideshare pickup space but even that is questionable since the only thing it is near is the Kia Center.

    KAREN LEVEL:
7/10 – This Karen may not be as extreme as some others we’ve seen, but the entitlement and absurdity are still strong in this one.

    REVIEW:
Ah, the classic “homeless camp” complaint. It seems like every city has one of these Karens, convinced that any space designated for the homeless is a personal attack on their comfort and convenience. But let’s break down what happened here. The city of Orlando decided to create a park-like space under the expressway, complete with fake grass and shade, for the homeless population. And this Karen is outraged, claiming it should have been kept as a parking lot instead. Oh, and let’s not forget the unnecessary attack on Church Street and the assumption that it will never be a popular destination again. Classic Karen behavior.

    SCORECARD:
Entitlement: 8/10 – This Karen clearly believes that her own comfort and convenience should come before the needs of the homeless population.
Absurdity: 7/10 – The idea that a park-like space is somehow a waste of space compared to a parking lot is pretty ridiculous.
Pettiness: 6/10 – While this Karen’s complaint may not be as petty as others, the unnecessary attack on Church Street adds a touch of pettiness to the mix.
Hypocrisy: 7/10 – It’s always interesting when Karens claim to care about the city’s well-being, but only when it aligns with their own personal preferences.
Escalation: 8/10 – This Karen is not holding back, calling for someone to be fired over a park-like space for the homeless.
Overall Karen Behavior: 7/10 – This Karen may not be the most extreme we’ve seen, but the entitlement, absurdity, and unnecessary attacks make for a classic Karen case.

    PERFORMANCE:
This Karen’s performance was solid, with a clear understanding of how to complain about something she doesn’t like. However, the unnecessary attacks and extreme reactions bring her down a few points.

    VERDICT:
Guilty. This Karen is guilty of classic Karen behavior, with entitlement, absurdity, and unnecessary attacks on others.

    OPINION:
It’s always interesting to see how Karens prioritize their own comfort over the needs of others. And this Karen’s attack on a park-like space for the homeless is just another example of that selfish mindset.

    THE DEFENSE:
Perhaps this Karen is simply frustrated with the lack of

  • Ship Pool has Seawater?

    Ship Pool has Seawater?

I can’t believe there weren’t signs warning us. I found out from another cruise guest the pools are filled with sea water. My son is allergic to seafood!

    KAREN LEVEL: 7

REVIEW: Well, well, well, what do we have here? Another classic Karen complaint. Let’s break it down, shall we?

    SCORECARD:
    – Entitlement: 8/10. It seems this Karen believes that the entire cruise ship should cater to her son’s seafood allergy.
    – Absurdity: 6/10. While it may seem absurd to some that a cruise ship would have pools filled with sea water, it’s not exactly unheard of.
    – Pettiness: 5/10. While the complaint itself may seem petty, the potential consequences for the son’s allergy are not.
    – Hypocrisy: 7/10. This Karen is quick to point fingers at the lack of warning signs, but did she bother to do her own research beforehand?
    – Escalation: 8/10. The use of all caps and exclamation points shows a clear escalation of emotions.
    – Overall Karen behavior: 7/10. This complaint may not be as outrageous as some we’ve seen, but it still exhibits classic Karen behavior.

PERFORMANCE: This Karen put on quite the performance, demanding answers and making a fuss about the sea water in the pools. Bravo, Karen, bravo.

VERDICT: Guilty. While the concern for her son’s allergy is understandable, the entitlement and escalation in this complaint are not justified.

OPINION: I can’t help but wonder if this Karen would have been just as upset if she had known about the sea water beforehand. It seems like she just needed something to complain about.

THE DEFENSE: While it’s important to consider the son’s allergy, it’s also important to do your own research before booking a cruise. And let’s not forget that many people with seafood allergies can still swim in sea water without any issues.

ZINGER: I hope this Karen’s son doesn’t have any allergies to salt, because there’s plenty of that in the ocean too. Maybe stick to a pool filled with purified water next time.

  • Park Between the Lines

    Park Between the Lines

A elderly lady in the next car to my left was yelling and screaming to get my attention! I rolled down my window and she was screaming at me because she said I took too much parking space? I looked on both sides of my car, and there was plenty of room that each passengers could enter and exit their vehicles. I preceded to explain this to her. She kept yelling and screaming said she didn’t care, and then gave me the Finger and F Bomb! She also called me ugly names and kept going on like she was crazy! I said do you engage and speak to everyone like this? I also said, you probably speak to your children like this as well. I then turned on my car and backed up. I looked over and she had her car completely crooked as she had parked which had nothing to do with me! She was elderly, salt and pepper hair, was driving a Lexus SUV. I would suggest if she is your relative, she needs help! and checked out! She is unhinged and she is the type that can cause extreme danger to the public!

    KAREN LEVEL: 9/10

    REVIEW:
An elderly Karen in a Lexus SUV throws a tantrum over parking space and proceeds to verbally assault and flip off the submitter. Extra points for being unhinged and potentially dangerous.

    SCORECARD:
    Entitlement: 10/10
    Indignation: 9/10
    Audacity: 9/10
    Unreasonableness: 9/10

    PERFORMANCE:
I give this Karen a solid 9/10 for her impressive performance. She truly embodied the entitled, indignant, and unreasonable behavior of a classic Karen.

    VERDICT:
This Karen’s behavior is a perfect example of why we can’t have nice things. She needs to take a chill pill and learn some basic manners.

    OPINION:
I can only imagine the chaos this Karen causes in her everyday life. It’s a shame that her entitlement and lack of self-awareness make her a danger to society. Maybe she should stick to driving a golf cart instead of a Lexus SUV.

    THE DEFENSE:
Maybe this Karen had a bad day or a medical condition that caused her to act out. Or maybe she’s just a Karen who needs to learn how to share parking space. Either way, her behavior is still unacceptable.

    BURN RESPONSE:
Looks like this Karen’s Lexus SUV isn’t the only thing that’s crooked. Her behavior is a perfect example of why we need to invest in anger management classes.

  • No Sushi For You

    No Sushi For You

Karen is pissed, she went to fav sushi place, and dept of health shut it down…”Show me one restaurant in Florida that doesn’t have flying insects, and rodent droppings. I needed my California roll!.

    KAREN LEVEL: 9/10

    REVIEW:
Karen is absolutely fuming that her beloved sushi place got shut down by the health department. She’s not even mad about the potential health hazards, she just wants her precious California roll.

    SCORECARD:
    Entitlement: 10/10
    Indignation: 9/10
    Audacity: 9/10
    Unreasonableness: 8/10

    PERFORMANCE:
I have to give it to Karen, she really went all out with her entitlement and audacity in this complaint. The level of indignation and unreasonableness is also impressive. Overall, a solid performance from a true Karen.

    VERDICT:
Karen, you might want to focus less on your California roll and more on the cleanliness of your food. Just a thought.

    OPINION:
Honestly, I’m just glad the health department is doing their job and shutting down places with potential health hazards. Sorry Karen, but your sushi cravings will have to wait until your favorite spot gets their act together.

    THE DEFENSE:
Maybe Karen had a rough day and just needed her comfort food. Or maybe she’s just a Karen who can’t handle a minor inconvenience. We may never know.

    BURN RESPONSE:
Looks like Karen’s sushi roll isn’t the only thing that’s raw and full of crap. Maybe she should stick to cooking at home if she’s so picky about insect and rodent-free restaurants.
