All Karens

  • That is NOT my Name

    That is NOT my Name

So sick that every time I go into Starbuck and order a drink they spell my name wrong. How hard is it to spell Kathe! They must only hire idiots

    KAREN LEVEL: 9/10

    REVIEW:
This Karen is not only entitled to a perfectly spelled name, but also indignant and audacious enough to insult Starbucks employees as “idiots” for not meeting her unreasonable expectations.

    SCORECARD:
    Entitlement: 9/10
    Indignation: 8/10
    Audacity: 8/10
    Unreasonableness: 9/10

    PERFORMANCE:
I give this Karen a solid 9/10 for her performance. She truly embodies the entitled, indignant, and unreasonable behavior that we have come to expect from a true Karen.

    VERDICT:
This Karen’s behavior is a perfect example of the entitled and unreasonable expectations that many Karens have. Maybe she should just spell her name differently if it’s such a struggle for her.

    OPINION:
This Karen’s complaint is so ridiculous and petty that it’s almost comical. It’s just a name on a coffee cup, Karen. Relax and enjoy your overpriced latte.

    BURN HER RESPONSE:
“Wow, Kathe, it must be so exhausting to carry around that massive ego and sense of entitlement. Maybe try drinking some humble tea instead of your usual Starbucks order.”

  • Leave me alone!

    Leave me alone!

Your tree is dropping leaves on my lawn.

    KAREN LEVEL: 8/10

    REVIEW:
This Karen is not only upset about leaves on her lawn, but she also expects her neighbors to control the behavior of nature. Classic entitlement and unreasonable behavior.

    SCORECARD:
    Entitlement: 9/10
    Indignation: 7/10
    Audacity: 8/10
    Unreasonableness: 9/10

    PERFORMANCE:
I give this Karen an 8 out of 10 for her performance. She really commits to the role of an entitled and unreasonable neighbor. Bravo!

    VERDICT:
This Karen’s lawn may be pristine, but her attitude is far from it. Maybe she should focus on raking her own leaves instead of trying to control the entire neighborhood.

    OPINION:
It’s no surprise that this Karen is more concerned about her lawn than being a decent human being. Maybe she should invest in a leaf blower or some self-reflection.

    BURN HER RESPONSE:
“Wow, I didn’t realize you owned all the trees in the neighborhood. Maybe instead of complaining, you should leaf your neighbors alone.”

  • There is a Leash Law

    There is a Leash Law

Orange County has a leash law. Your dog must be on a leash in public. The only exception is if your dog has been fully obedience trained and reliably responds to voice commands. We have multiple people in Delaney Park who seem unaware of this. It’s for everyone’s safety, including your dog’s. Watching your dog be hit by a car, or a speeding e-bike, is not something you want to experience. Getting sued if your dog bites someone may, or may not, be something you worry much about.

    KAREN LEVEL: 9/10

REVIEW: This Karen is on a mission to enforce the leash law in Orange County, and she’s not afraid to call out those who dare to let their dogs roam free. Safety is her top priority, but she also wants to make sure everyone knows she’s a responsible dog owner and doesn’t want to get sued.

    SCORECARD:
    Entitlement: 9/10
    Indignation: 8/10
    Audacity: 9/10
    Unreasonableness: 9/10

PERFORMANCE: 8/10 She may not have the best delivery, but this Karen is determined to make sure everyone follows the leash law, even if it means being a bit of a buzzkill.

VERDICT: This Karen may have good intentions, but her overbearing and self-righteous attitude is enough to make anyone want to let their dog run free.

OPINION: Karen’s concern for safety is admirable, but her approach could use some work. Maybe try a friendly reminder instead of a scolding next time.

BURN HER RESPONSE: Hey Karen, maybe instead of being the leash police, you could focus on training your dog to actually listen to your voice commands. Just a thought.

  • Waste of Money

    Waste of Money

I can taste the carbon already. It’s the most stupid waste of money, I’d like to know who’s getting the kickbacks on this project? Who’s excited to hang out with the noise and heat and humidity and the exhaust under a highway??

    KAREN LEVEL: 9/10

    REVIEW:
This Karen is not happy about a new project and is already complaining about the potential noise and heat. She also wants to know who’s getting kickbacks, because of course, she can’t imagine anyone doing something without some sort of personal gain. The entitlement and audacity are off the charts with this one.

    SCORECARD:
    Entitlement: 10/10
    Indignation: 9/10
    Audacity: 10/10
    Unreasonableness: 8/10

    PERFORMANCE:
I give this Karen a solid 9/10 for her performance. She really nails the entitled, indignant, and audacious attitude. However, she loses a point for being slightly unreasonable. I mean, who doesn’t want to hang out under a noisy, hot, and humid highway?

    VERDICT:
This Karen is the epitome of entitlement and audacity. She’s not afraid to voice her complaints, no matter how ridiculous they may be. But let’s be real, who wouldn’t want to hang out under a highway?

    OPINION:
In my opinion, this Karen needs to take a chill pill and stop assuming everyone is out to get her. It’s just a new project, not a personal attack. And who knows, maybe hanging out under a highway could be the next big thing.

    BURN HER RESPONSE:
“Wow Karen, you must have a superhuman sense of taste if you can already detect the carbon from a project that hasn’t even started yet. Maybe you should use that talent for something more productive, like being a food critic.”

  • My Wine Tastes Bad

    My Wine Tastes Bad

I once sat next to lady at a bar who complained that her glass of wine tasted off. The bartender opened a new bottle and poured her a new glass. No questions. But when the bartender reached for the “tainted” wine, the lady grabbed for it to finish it. “Off” my foot!

    KAREN LEVEL: 9/10

    REVIEW:
This Karen is on a mission to prove that the customer is always right, even when they’re wrong. She’s not satisfied with just getting a new glass of wine, she has to make sure the bartender knows they were wrong and she was right. Classic Karen behavior.

    SCORECARD:
    Entitlement: 10/10
    Indignation: 8/10
    Audacity: 9/10
    Unreasonableness: 9/10

    PERFORMANCE:
I have to give it to her, this Karen’s performance was top-notch. She knew exactly how to manipulate the situation to get what she wanted, all while maintaining an air of superiority and entitlement. Bravo, Karen, bravo.

    VERDICT:
This Karen definitely gets a gold star for her entitled, indignant, and audacious behavior. But let’s not forget her unreasonable demand for the “tainted” wine, which ultimately led to her downfall. Sorry, Karen, but the customer is not always right.

    OPINION:
It’s always entertaining to watch a Karen in action, especially when they think they have the upper hand. But in the end, their unreasonable demands and entitled attitude only make them look foolish. Keep fighting the good fight, bartenders of the world.

    ZINGER:
Looks like this Karen’s taste buds are as off as her attitude. Cheers to that!

  • Nobody Saved Me a Table

    Nobody Saved Me a Table

I went to a crowded restaurant with eight friends without a reservation. They told us there would be a 45-minute wait. I explained that this was unacceptable because we were hungry and had already decided we wanted to sit at a particular table. The hostess told me that table was reserved. I asked her why someone who wasn’t even there yet should get better treatment than eight paying customers standing right in front of her.

    KAREN LEVEL: 9/10

    REVIEW:
This Karen really takes the cake (or should I say, table?) with her entitled behavior. She not only showed up to a crowded restaurant without a reservation, but also had the audacity to demand a specific table and throw a fit when it was already reserved. Talk about unreasonable!

    SCORECARD:
    Entitlement: 10/10
    Indignation: 9/10
    Audacity: 10/10
    Unreasonableness: 8/10

    PERFORMANCE:
I have to give this Karen a 9/10 for her performance. She really pulled out all the stops with her entitled attitude, indignant demands, and audacious behavior. The only thing that could have made it better is if she had thrown a tantrum on the floor.

    VERDICT:
This Karen’s behavior is a perfect example of why the term “Karen” exists. She embodies all the qualities of a true Karen – entitled, indignant, audacious, and unreasonable. It’s a wonder she didn’t ask to speak to the manager.

    OPINION:
In my opinion, this Karen should have just made a reservation like a normal person instead of expecting special treatment for her group of eight. And maybe next time, she should consider bringing some snacks for her hungry friends instead of causing a scene at the restaurant.

    ZINGER:
Looks like this Karen’s appetite for entitlement was bigger than her actual appetite. Maybe she should try a Snickers next time.

  • The Dog Barked at 2 PM

The Dog Barked at 2 PM

My neighbor’s dog barked for approximately 45 seconds at 2:17 this afternoon. I work from home and this completely disrupted my concentration. I have already contacted the HOA and suggested that my neighbor be required to keep the dog indoors during all daylight hours.

    KAREN LEVEL: 8/10

    REVIEW:
Ah, the classic “my neighbor’s dog barked for 45 seconds and ruined my entire day” complaint. We’ve all been there, right? No? Just me? Well, regardless, this Karen is not happy about the disturbance to her oh-so-important work-from-home concentration.

    SCORECARD:
    Entitlement: 9/10
    Indignation: 8/10
    Audacity: 7/10
    Unreasonableness: 9/10

    PERFORMANCE:
I have to give it to this Karen, she really went above and beyond in her quest for peace and quiet. Not only did she contact the HOA, but she also suggested a solution for her neighbor’s dog. Bravo, Karen, bravo.

    VERDICT:
While I can sympathize with wanting a quiet work environment, this Karen’s demands seem a bit excessive. Maybe she should invest in some noise-cancelling headphones instead of trying to control her neighbor’s dog.

    OPINION:
It’s clear that this Karen values her own comfort and convenience above all else. But let’s not forget that dogs bark, it’s kind of their thing. Maybe she should try embracing the chaos and using it as a white noise machine.

    ZINGER:
Looks like this Karen’s concentration is about as fragile as her ego. Maybe she should take a deep breath and remember that the world doesn’t revolve around her.

  • The Ice Cube Karen

    The Ice Cube Karen

I ordered a drink with ice and they gave me too much ice. I asked to speak to the manager because I’m paying for the beverage, not a glass full of frozen water.

    KAREN LEVEL: 8/10

    REVIEW:
Ah, the classic Karen move of complaining about too much ice in a drink. Because clearly, the world revolves around your specific ice preferences. How dare they not cater to your every whim and desire? You are the ultimate beverage connoisseur and they should be grateful to have you as a customer.

    SCORECARD:
    Entitlement: 9/10
    Indignation: 8/10
    Audacity: 9/10
    Unreasonableness: 7/10

    PERFORMANCE:
I have to give it to this Karen, she really went all out with her performance. From demanding to speak to the manager to declaring herself the ice expert, she truly embodied the essence of a Karen. However, points are deducted for the lack of creativity in her complaint. Too much ice? Really?

    VERDICT:
This Karen may have put on a good show, but her demands for the perfect ice ratio in her drink are just plain ridiculous. Maybe next time she should just order a cup of ice and call it a day.

    OPINION:
It’s amazing how some people can find something to complain about in every situation. Instead of enjoying her drink, this Karen chose to focus on the amount of ice in it. Talk about first world problems. Maybe she should try drinking her beverage without the ice and see how that goes.

    ZINGER:
Looks like this Karen’s ice cold attitude is the real problem here.

  • Hello Can You Help Me

    Hello Can You Help Me

Come on, 7-ELEVEN cashier! I’m so sorry I interrupted your night by showing up and purchasing two items. The days of good customer service seem to be a thing of the past.
At this rate, installing self-checkout machines instead of having human cashiers is starting to sound pretty good. At least with a machine, I’m not expecting basic manners or common decency.

    KAREN LEVEL: 8/10

    REVIEW:
Ah, the entitled Karen strikes again. Interrupting someone’s night by purchasing two items? How dare you inconvenience the 7-ELEVEN cashier with your basic human needs. And don’t even get her started on the lack of customer service these days. It’s almost like she expects people to be polite and decent human beings. The nerve!

    SCORECARD:
    Entitlement: 9/10
    Indignation: 7/10
    Audacity: 8/10
    Unreasonableness: 8/10

    PERFORMANCE:
I have to give this Karen an 8/10 for her performance. She really nailed the entitled, self-absorbed attitude and her lack of awareness for how ridiculous she sounds. Bravo, Karen. Bravo.

    VERDICT:
In the case of this Karen, it seems like the days of good customer service are long gone. But don’t worry, she has a solution – let’s just replace all human cashiers with machines so she doesn’t have to deal with basic manners. Problem solved!

    OPINION:
Honestly, this Karen’s post just made me laugh. It’s almost like a parody of entitled customer complaints. But then I remember that people like this actually exist, and it’s just sad. Maybe we should start a petition to install self-checkout machines in Karen’s homes so they never have to interact with another human being again.

    ZINGER:
Looks like this Karen needs a reality check, and a self-checkout machine won’t do the trick.
